Campaign Day Parting Settings

Day Parting allows you to control when your ads run in a campaign. You can choose specific days of the week and times for your ads to be displayed.

Day Parting is automatically set to run 24/7. We recommend using the default settings to allow BidIQ® to dynamically optimize how many times your ads are displayed to the same individual.

Day Parting is only available for Web and CTV Campaigns and cannot be applied to individual AdGroups only.  

 

B2C Use Cases

Day Parting is useful when you know that your ads will have a greater impact on certain days of the week or times of the day.

For example, your pizza parlor has noticed that you sell more pizzas during the weekend. You also notice that your business picks up in the afternoon and evening (for lunch and dinner), but mornings are slow.

​​Use dayparting to boost business

  • Focus your efforts on when people are looking. Start a campaign that offers "One topping free!" during peak times for lunch, dinner, and the weekend. You know that people are hungry for pizzas during lunch and dinner, so offer a promotion when you know that people are looking to ensure that they order from you. 
  • Grow traffic when business is slow. Your parlor is lonely during weekdays. Start a campaign that offers "$5 Weekday Pizzas!" at lunch and dinner Monday–Thursday. Offer a promotion that entices new customers during the week at times where you know that pizza is popular.
  • Break into breakfast. You're plenty busy during lunch and dinner, but your breakfast offering needs a little help. Start a campaign that promotes "Free Coffee with your Breakfast Sandwich!" in the morning. This takes advantage of your robust afternoon and evening traffic to increase awareness and customers for breakfast.

 

Adjust your Campaign Day Parting

 Before you start you should know

  • Your AdRoll account is standardized to the UTC time zone (Coordinated Universal Time).
  • Your Day Parting settings affect the campaign as a whole and cannot be applied to specific AdGroups within your campaign.
  • Click here or navigate to Campaigns > Ads on the left side menu
  • Click on the Web & Social tab. 
  • Find the campaign that you want to adjust and click on the campaign name
  • Click Edit
  • On the campaign edit page, scroll down to Web Channel settings and click Edit 
  • Click Advanced Options to expose Day Parting settings
  • Toggle ON/OFF between:
    • Automatically run continuously (recommended)
    • Manually choose a recurring schedule

 

Can I change my account's time zone?

Your account is standardized to the UTC time zone (Coordinated Universal Time). All reports, time selectors, and data are based on UTC. At this time is not possible to change the time zone for your AdRoll account.
