Exclude a Conversion Audience

Exclude a conversion audience to avoid showing ads to people who have already completed a purchased. We recommend excluding conversions audiences to help allocate campaign budget more efficiently.

 

Exclude a conversion audience when you’re setting up a campaign:

  • Log in to AdRoll and navigate to Campaigns on the left side menu.
  • On the Web & Social page, click Create > Ad Campaign.

  • Under Campaign Settings > Web Audience > Audience.
  • Click Choose Existing.
  • Select the conversion audience with the $ sign.
  • Under the Target column, switch the toggle to say Excluding.
  • Click Choose.
  • Save.

 

Exclude a new conversion audience from an existing campaign:

  • Log in to AdRoll and navigate to Campaigns on the left side menu.
  • On the Web & Social page find the campaign that you want to adjust.
  • Click ellipsis next to the campaign name and select Edit.

  • Under Campaign Settings > Web Audience > Audience.
  • Click Choose Existing.
  • Select the conversion audience with the $ sign.
  • Under the Target column, switch the toggle to say Excluding.
  • Click Choose.
  • Save.

 

Exclude an existing conversion audience from your Audiences tab:

  1. Login to your AdRoll account, go to Audiences > Website Audiences.
  2. Select a conversion audience with the $ sign.
  3. Under the Target column, switch the toggle to say Excluding.
