Image Web Ads are the most common type of ad designed to stand out from the content on a website or app, making it hard for potential customers to ignore your message. They consist of a single file, minimal animation, and one landing page. Image ads have a background graphic, a business logo, and a call to action.
We recommend using 6 Static Image Web Ad sizes as an essential part of every campaign to run display ads on virtually every website and app, while other ad types aren't as widely accessible. That means more opportunities to connect with your audience — wherever they spend time online.
All ads and landing pages go through our Ad Review Process to make sure they are safe, suitable for everyone, and adhere to AdRoll's Advertising Policies.
We recommend refreshing your ads every 3 months to prevent ad fatigue and following our Ad Creative Best Practices guide to align your copy and landing pages to your customer journey.

Troubleshooting
There are a couple of items that you can check if you are having issues with your image web ads:
- Make sure that your logo is included in your background image.
- The landing page must include a link to your website homepage and/or site privacy policy.
- The destination URL should not redirect to a different website or to a video, for example, a video on Dailymotion or NBS.com.
- GIF ads cannot loop endlessly or be longer than 30 seconds.
- Review our Advertising Policies Guidelines to learn how you can make sure your ads and site are compliant.
