Opt-In to Cross-Device Tracking for AdRoll

Shoppers today don’t just stick to one screen. They might browse your products on their morning commute via mobile, check reviews on a tablet during lunch, and finally convert on a desktop in the evening.

When you consider targeting shoppers with a similar pattern, you are looking for a campaign targeting approach that involves reaching users across multiple devices. Cross-device targeting helps you engage the same user as they switch between their phone, tablet, desktop, or other devices, providing a more seamless and consistent advertising experience.

Why Opt In?

Opting in to Cross-Device Tracking allows AdRoll to track and target the same visitor as they use different devices. This is crucial for understanding user behavior across platforms and ensuring your advertising efforts are more effective.

Here are the key benefits for your campaigns:

  • Improved Targeting: Reach users on multiple devices, significantly increasing the chances of engagement and conversion.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Recognize returning visitors across devices to provide a personalized experience, leading to higher customer satisfaction.
  • Better Attribution: Accurately attribute conversions to the correct ad, even if a user clicks on mobile but buys on desktop.
  • Increased ROI: Optimize your campaigns for better performance and ROI with precise tracking.

How to Enable Cross-Device Tracking

To start leveraging these benefits, you need to opt in through your dashboard settings.

  1. Log in to your AdRoll Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Settings (gear icon) > Data Collection.
  3. Select Opt-ins.
