Do I need the GDPR banner if my business isn't based in Europe or Brazil?
Answer
The display of the GDPR banner is mandatory for businesses targeting visitors from Europe or Brazil. Failure to update your GDPR settings will result in AdRoll automatically categorizing your account as exempt from the GDPR banner requirement. Consequently, you will be unable to collect any data from the European Union and Brazil until a cookie-consent banner preference is established and the banner is appended.
- Log in to AdRoll and navigate to Settings on the left side menu.
- Scroll down to the Data Collection > Visitor Consent.
- Select the 'No Banner' option if available.
