TripleWhale offers an integration that leverages AdRoll’s API to import campaign performance data, allowing users to analyze results directly within TripleWhale’s Summary and Pixel dashboards. This integration helps centralize reporting, streamline performance analysis, and optimize advertising strategies to boost ROI and drive stronger customer engagement.
How to Connect AdRoll with TripleWhale
-
Navigate to Settings > Integrations in your TripleWhale account.
-
Click Connect next to AdRoll. You’ll be redirected to AdRoll, where you need to click Authorize to approve the connection.
-
Once redirected back to TripleWhale, toggle the switch to enable data flow from AdRoll into your TripleWhale account.
Add Tracking Parameters in AdRoll
For accurate attribution in Triple Whale, you’ll need to add custom UTM parameters to your AdRoll ads.
Required UTM Parameters:
tw_source=adroll&tw_campaign=[ADROLL:CAMPAIGN_EID]&utm_term=[ADROLL:AD_GROUP_EID]&tw_adid=[ADROLL:AD_EID]
To apply these in AdRoll:
- Go to your Ad Library.
- Select the ads you’d like to update and Edit.
- Edit Destination URL and paste the updated URL with UTM appended.
This ensures that each visitor arriving from an AdRoll ad is properly attributed in TripleWhale.
AdRoll Data in TripleWhale
Once connected, your AdRoll data will be available in the following TripleWhale dashboards:
- Pixel Dashboard: View campaign-level performance data. You can compare metrics reported by AdRoll (API) against those captured by the Triple Whale pixel side-by-side.
- TripleWhale recommends setting your attribution model to TA + Views.
