I see a charge from AdRoll, but I have just launched my campaign. How is this possible?
Answer
Whenever you launch a new campaign, unpause a campaign, or increase the budget of an existing campaign, our system will try to initiate a temporary hold on your payment method to check if it is active and has sufficient funds.
For campaign launches and budget increases, the temporary hold amount equals the weekly budget of all active campaigns. For campaigns being unpaused, the temporary hold amount equals the weekly budget for the campaigns that have been unpaused.
A temporary hold is not an actual charge, hence why there is no corresponding invoice for one. However, a temporary hold may look like a charge in your online financial statements.
