I see a charge from AdRoll, but I have just launched my campaign. How is this possible?
Answer
Whenever you launch a new campaign, unpause a campaign, or increase the budget of an existing campaign, our system will try to authorize your payment method to check if it is active and has sufficient funds.
For campaign launches and budget increases, the authorization amount equals the weekly budget of all active campaigns. For campaigns being unpaused, the authorization amount equals the weekly budget for the campaigns that have been unpaused.
An authorization is not an actual charge, hence why there is no corresponding invoice for one. However, an authorization may look like a charge in your online financial statements.
