Bid strategies are a small but mighty tool in your AdRoll campaign arsenal to drive the performance you need to hit your goals. Click here to learn more about how to factor it into your overall campaign strategy.
You can stick with automatic campaign optimization where we’ll optimize for both reach and performance or go manual to enter your target cost per click (CPC) or cost per thousand impressions (CPM). Whatever you choose, give your campaign (ideally) two weeks to optimize. BidIQ continuously learns from your campaign data so it can improve performance optimization over time.
How to set up bid strategies
What CPC or CPM should I enter?
If you are not sure what target CPC or CPM to enter, let your campaign automatically balance reach and performance for at least 3 - 5 days. This will establish a baseline for performance as well as give BidIQ enough campaign data to predict how your performance target will impact campaign outcomes.
Can I edit my performance targets?
You can edit your performance targets at any time by editing your campaign. Changes to performance targets are accepted immediately, but it may take a few days for the change to be reflected on your campaign.
When evaluating your campaign to see how editing your performance target impacted results, make sure that you adjust your dashboard date range to a window that starts on the day after you made the change.
