Navigating your Automated Email dashboard

Your Automated Emails dashboard gives you important performance data about your automated campaigns and insights to get the most out of your marketing activities.

Accessing your Email Dashboard

You can view your Automated Emails dashboard from the homepage by going to the Email Performance tile on your home page.

Alternatively, you can also navigate to the left navigation menu and click on Automated Emails to view your Email dashboard.

Email dashboard views

  1. The Email Dashboard can be viewed in two different formats Campaigns List or Performance Graphs.
    • The Campaigns List tab shows all the automated campaigns you created in a list format.
    • The Performance Graph tab gives you performance charts with the most important email metrics for each email campaign you've created.

  2. You can select the data range, filter by the status of the email campaign and customize the metrics shown in your dashboard by clicking on the gear icon and adding the KPIs you want to track.

  3. We sift through all your Automated Email campaigns in the selected date range and highlight Performance Insights based on the Open Rate, Click Rate, Number of Delivered Emails, Attributed Conversions, Influence Revenue or Bounced Rate.

  4. You can also export the table with the email performance of your automated campaigns as a spreadsheet.

  5. Engagement Graphs - By Device and By Country

    Deep dive into the opens and clicks for all the emails that were part of the automated email campaigns in the selected date range. With the device graph, you can check out the devices that your subscribers used to interact with your emails and optimize the design of your emails. The country graph will show you the top 5 countries that subscribers open or click on your email. This will help you better understand your subscriber base.

  6. Click Performance

    Find the top links your subscribers clicked on across all your automated email campaigns in the selected date range.

  1. To select a specific email from the drip sequence, click on the campaign name in the Campaigns List table or the Performance Graphs tab
  2. Control the metrics you'd like to view by clicking on the three-line icon in the upper right corner of the dashboard.

  3. Review the target list by clicking on the Audience tab. There, you will find the audience segments this newsletter targeted or excluded, their type, and duration. 
  4. View the Engagement Graphs on an email level
    Deep dive into the opens and clicks for the specific email in the selected date range. With the device graph, you can check out the devices that your subscribers used to interact with your emails and optimize the design of your emails. The country graph will show you the top 5 countries that subscribers open or click on your email. You can always download these graphs as images by clicking on the Export button.
  1. Click Performance
    Find the top links your subscribers clicked on in the selected date range for one specific email. You can see the unique clicks and percentages from the total clicks that happened on that email.

 

  1. Email Click Map
    You can access the Click Map of a newsletter by clicking on the View Click Map button on the Click Performance tab. This view helps you visualize where subscribers are clicking in your email and presents this data right on top of your design, so you can quickly see what's working. What’s available there:
      • When was the last click recorded on the campaign level
      • Select a specific email that is part of this drip sequence from the dropdown to preview its email template and load its click-tracking table
      • A table with all the links that recipients of the email clicked on and where these links appear in the email template. 

Understanding the metrics

Metric
Description 

Sent

Total emails attempted to be sent.

Delivered

The number of recipients that opened your email is divided by the total number of emails delivered.

Unique Opens

When an email is opened by a user.

Unique Open Rate

The percent of sent emails that are opened once in a user's lifetime.

Unique Clicks

The number of times a link in an email was clicked once in a user's lifetime.

Unique Click Rate

The percentage of emails opened once in a user's lifetime by the total emails confirmed to have been sent by the Email service provider.

Scheduled (Newsletters only)

Total emails scheduled to be sent as part of a particular Newsletters campaign.

Bounced

Deliveries that were rejected by the recipient's email service provider.

Unsubscribers

Recipients that unsubscribe.

Marked as Spam

Recipients who report as spam.

Conversions

Goal completions happen after someone clicks or views the email sent through an email campaign.

CTC

Click-through conversion: A goal completion that happens after someone clicks your email.

VTC Rate

View-through conversion rate: The percentage of opens that resulted in a view-through conversion.

Average Order Value

Average Revenue (Total earnings attributed to your AdRoll emails) per Attributed Conversion (Goal completions from AdRoll, that happen after someone clicks or views your email).

Attributed Revenue

Total earnings attributed to your AdRoll emails. (includes both view attributed and click attributed revenue).

Click-Attributed Revenue

Total earnings when someone clicks your email and converts.

View-Attributed Revenue

Total earnings when someone views your email and converts.

Influenced Revenue

Revenue touched or assisted by an email but not attributed due to the current attribution model.

Influenced Conversions

A conversion touched or assisted by an email but not attributed due to the current attribution model.

Bounced

Deliveries that were rejected by the recipient's email service provider.
