Cookie Consent Tool Requirements

Legal Note: This is not legal advice, but rather guidelines based on the current regulatory activity in the European Union (EU), the United Kingdom (UK), Brazil (BR), and NextRoll’s services. The guidelines may change over time to reflect updated best practices. You should consult with your own counsel, privacy professionals, and/or internal resources to determine a comprehensive and appropriate cookie consent solution for your business and your marketing activities.

In effort to meet requirements of the ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, and Brazilian Data Protection Law, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (“LGPD”), our current criteria require customer sites that attract end users from European Territories to obtain end users' consent to use NextRoll's Technology (the pixel) on their site for specifically identified purposes of data collection. The method of obtaining consent is often referred to as a Consent Management Platform "CMP," Cookie Banner, or Consent Mechanism.

You must use a CMP that is compliant with the latest Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) specifications issued by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB)

NextRoll has a TCF v2.0 CMP tool available to you for free.

Alternatively, a list of companies that offer TCF v2.0 CMP tools certified by the IAB EU can be found here.
