Create Static and Dynamic Native Web Ads

You can create native web ads in both your Ads tab and when you create a campaign. The following instructions are for creation in the Ads tab.

Create static native web ads

  1. Log in to AdRoll and navigate to your Ads tab.
  2. Click Create Ads then select Native Ads to open the ad builder.
  3. Under Type of Ad select Static Image.
  4. Under Background Image, select +Image to drag and drop or browse your computer for a background image. We suggest a high quality eye catching image that is not necessarily your logo. Once the image is uploaded, select Done.
  5. Next input your Title which is 90 characters max. Right below it, you will also input your Description. The description is 140 characters max.
  6. Input your Destination URL. We automatically append UTM codes for you.
  7. Lastly, input your Brand Name. This is your business name that will display in the ads.

The ad sizes included in this ad builder are 600x600, 600x500, & 600x315.

Create dynamic native web ads

Minimum requirements to create a dynamic native web ad

To get started you must have a hosted product feed or be integrated with AdRoll through one of our support e-commerce integrations. The images in your dynamic native web ads will be product images pulled directly from your product feed.

  1. Log in to AdRoll and navigate to your Ads tab.
  2. Click Create Native Ads to open the ad builder.
  3. Under Type of Ad select Dynamic. The images in this ad type are pulled directly from your product feed.
  4. The Title section uses a macro (@title) that calls directly to the titles listed in your product feed. This is usually the name of your products. Similarly, the Description section pulls the description from your product feed through a macro (@description).

Note: You can edit the macro to call on other elements of your product feed such as @brand, @description, @price, and @title. However we recommend leaving the default.

  5. We automatically append UTM codes for you in the UTM Tracker section.
  6. Lastly, input your Brand Name. This is your business name that will display in the ads.

Other Options allows you to enter any tracking you would like to append to your ads.

Note: URL is the product URL, so 3rd party click trackers (e.g. Doubleclick) or tracking parameters (e.g. UTM parameters) are dynamically appended to each product URL.

The ad size in this ad builder is 600x315.
