We support the following Web Ad types across Desktop, Mobile and App inventory:

Type of Web Ads Description
Static Image Web Ads

Static Image Web Ads are the most common type of ad designed to stand out from the content on a website or app, making it hard for potential customers to ignore your message. They consist of a single file, minimal animation, and one landing page. Image ads have a background graphic, a business logo, and a call to action.

We recommend using these 6 Static Image Web Ad sizes as an essential part of every campaign to run display ads on virtually every website and app, while other ad types aren't as widely accessible. That means more opportunities to connect with your audience — wherever they spend time online.

Native Web Ads

Native Web Ads appear as a part of the design of the web page they’re on making them engaging but not disruptive. Rather than standing out as an ad, native ads tend to have an editorial look and feel, with a softer selling approach.

Native ads match the form and function of the website or app they’re served on. Because they blend in with surrounding content, viewers find them less intrusive and are more likely to connect with your message.

Native ads are available in a variety of formats, depending on the hosting website or app. They can appear as recommended content on a website or app, in-feed content, or promoted listings.

HTML5 Web Ads

HTML5 Web Ads include advanced features like animations or other elements that encourage viewers to interact and engage with content. These rich Media web ads are formatted with HTML5, which allows developers to add animations directly into the source code of a page. They are also often referred to as HTML5 ads.

Video Web Ads Video ads are more versatile than other ad types — it’s easier to differentiate yourself from the competition or demonstrate how your product works in a short clip compared to a text-heavy ad or image. In-stream and out-stream placement options allow you to choose both where and when your video ad plays, giving you more control over who sees your message:
  • In-stream video ads play within video-based content, such as Dailymotion videos. Ads pop-up pre-roll, mid-roll, and post-roll.
  • Out-stream video ads appear within non-video-based editorial content. Outstream video ads appear outside of any streaming content, similar to standard display ads.

Third-Party Web Ad

A third-party ad is a snippet of JavaScript code generated from a third-party ad server in the form of an ad tag (also known as a third-party ad tag). The ad tag is a digital container that allows ads to be displayed. RollWorks collects the ad tag from you and displays the ads you’ve created from a third party Third-Party Ad Tags can't be used on social or native ad inventory.

Dynamic Web Ads

Dynamic ads enable you to easily re-engage site visitors with beautiful, personalized ads across devices and channels. Based on site visitor’s browsing activity on your site, dynamic ads can feature previously-viewed, recommended, and top products. Product info is populated via the AdRoll Product Feed you provide or that we access via Shopify or WooCommerce integrations.
